Q: Does NFI carry a line of ready-to-sell items?
A: No. All of our production is custom produced to individual customer’s specifications.
Q: Does NFI have its own brands?
A: Everything we make is under our customers’ labels, though we do have a registered trademark for our food service line of beverages.
Q: Does NFI sell directly to consumers?
A: No. We are a business-to-business enterprise, creating products for marketers to sell to consumers.
Q: What is your minimum order?
A: We generally think in terms of pounds or production hours. For ongoing business, we consider 1,000 lbs. or 4 hours of production to be a bare minimum. To get a project started we can produce smaller runs on a time-and-materials basis.
Q: What will my product cost?
A: It all depends on a large number of variables such as formula cost, package size, volume, how much or how little of the product we provide and how difficult or easy it is to produce. There is a good deal of information to exchange before a price quote is possible.
Q: Who are NFI’s target customers?
A: Any food marketer who needs high quality, custom run powdered mixes in packages. Our customers run the gamut form Pharmaceutical companies, to Specialty Food Distributors to Pizza Chains to Gift Packers, with lots of others in between.
Q: How do I know NFI won’t steal my idea?
A: After 25 years in business, our reputation is well established. Since we’re not in the business of marketing to consumers, we have no interest in entering our customers' businesses. We have many safeguards in place to protect our customers’ proprietary products and avoid conflicts wherever we can.
Q: Can NFI create a product for me?
A: If it’s a powdered mix and you have a real market for it, we can probably make it for you.
